Israel threatens to shake Lebanon

Israeli Defense Minister Beni Gantz has threatened to shake Lebanon.

He made the threat in a speech marking the anniversary of Israel's 1962 war against Lebanon, IRNA said.

In response to a recent statement by Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, Beni Gantz said that if an attack was carried out from Lebanon, the country would be shaken. A list of Lebanese targets has been compiled, and the list is larger than Gaza's.

Israel issued the threat against Lebanon just days after it was virtually defeated in the Gaza war. However, Hezbollah in Lebanon is stronger and more militarily experienced than the Gaza resistance.

Hezbollah's secretary-general said on Tuesday that what had happened in the recent Gaza war was "completely exceptional" in the history of the war against Israel's enemies.

He said Zionist Israel should learn from what happened in the war that Palestinian resistance groups would retaliate strongly against any aggression against the Temple Mount and the Aqsa Mosque.
