The death toll from Israeli airstrikes in Gaza has risen to 53. The latest attack destroyed the 13-storey Gaza Tower.
Meanwhile, at least 130 rockets were fired at the Israeli city of Tel Aviv in response to the attack. Counter-attacks have killed 53 Palestinians and six Israelis since Monday. Many people had already fled to safety in fear of an attack.
In addition to Monday's attack, Israeli police fired rubber bullets and tear gas shells at Palestinians gathered at the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the last Friday of Ramadan. Violence against Palestinians in the last few days is said to be the most intense since 2016.
